    Greyson Horst is a director and editor from Sacramento, CA. He completed two years of his undergraduate degree at Chapman’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, studying narrative film and documentary. Greyson completed his final two years of undergrad at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where he dove head first into experimental and genre filmmaking. His short film, The Bugs and the Slugs, places a story of sexual discovery in a heightened fantasy environment, premiered at Slamdance in 2022. He’s thrilled to direct and edit Throuple, where he can bring his strength in visual storytelling and comedic sensibilities to this strikingly intimate story of love, music, and self-actualization.

  • Michael Doshier

    Screenwriter/Executive Producer/Actor

    Michael Doshier is a Brooklyn-based writer, musician, and performer. A graduate of NYU Tisch’s Department of Dramatic Writing, he earned the 2013 Venable Herndon Award for Excellence in Screenwriting. Michael’s multimedia cabaret JOHNNY DARLIN: IN THE CLOSET was met with sold-out crowds and rave reception at the 2016 New York and 2017 Prague Fringe Festivals. His follow- up, Johnny Darlin: Songs About Boys, performed well in the 2018 Prague and New York Fringe Festivals. Michael performs regularly at historic NYC venues with Darlin! the Band.

  • Martín Blanco

    Martín is an NYC and Minneapolis-based director, cinematographer, and photographer working across narrative, documentary, and commercial projects. Inspired by his first-generation Venezuelan immigrant experience and Midwestern adolescence, Martín’s work often explores the intersection of memory, identity, and cultural heritage. He received a BFA in Film & TV Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

  • Emmi Shockley

    Emmi is a Maryland-born, Brooklyn-based independent producer. She first came into the indie film world as a teenager when she was cast in Michael Tully’s feature film Ping Pong Summer (Sundance 2014, Gravitas Ventures). This experience sent her onto the filmmaking path. In addition to producing, Emmi directs, writes, stills acts a bit sometimes, and works as an assistant director. She has directed and produced multiple short films that have been met with festival success, music videos for New York City independent artists, and has helped to execute numerous branded content campaigns.

    She holds a BFA in Film and Television Production from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. She’s also in a band with Greyson. So far they only know a few cover songs but they have fun.

  • Kara Bartek

    Producer, Line Producer

    Kara is a multi-lingual Producer , Production Coordinator , and spreadsheet Queen based in New York. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she’s worked on all kinds of productions nationally and internationally, including the upcoming Netflix Series on Bill Russell and the upcoming A&E documentary film on Ol' Dirty Bastard. Throuple is the first narrative feature film she has co-produced, which has been her favorite project to date. She loves most that Throuple not only showcases queer and underrepresented voices on screen, but that the team behind the film was just as diverse. Two of the short films she produced, Oh Yeah and In Passing, have both received recognition winning a semi-finalist slot at the Student Academy Awards and Best of Fest at Minnesota International Film Festival, respectively. Along with her lifelong friend, she co-created the podcast (im)perfect.

    Phillip Hughes is a creative director and producer based in Brooklyn, New York. Over the last eight years he’s worked as a content creator and digital strategist across industries including tourism, higher education, arts & culture institutions, and theater to develop creative campaigns and video concepts. Currently, Phillip works as a creative director leading digital content strategy and creative ideation for some of the biggest attractions in New York City including the Empire State Building and Broadway hits Wicked and MJ. With a passion for untraditional stories, representation, and visual storytelling, Phillip hopes to create content that allows viewers to see themselves reflected in the media they consume. He holds his BFA in Film & Television Production and a MA in Digital Media Design for Learning from New York University.

Natch’s credits as an executive producer, creator, showrunner, and writer include Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, Fresh off the Boat, and Young Rock. Natch also directed the Netflix Romantic Comedy Always be my Maybe.

  • Casey Rose Houlihan

    Production Manager

    Casey is a Wisconsin-born, New York City based Production Manager and Producer. She has produced an award-winning documentary entitled Navigating the Great White Way that investigates Broadway’s racial disparity during the height of 2020’s COVID shutdown and at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement. This short documentary amplifying the voices of Black theatre actors is currently enjoying an exciting 2023-2024 Festival run.

  • Dallin Burns

    Dallin Burns is a Puerto Rican-American film composer known for his ability to create beautifully complex scores that combine modern scoring practices and classic techniques. Dallin currently assists Hollywood A-list composer Tom Holkenborg (aka JunkieXL) working on many exciting films and projects.

    Dallin understands the importance of accurate representation and truth in both film and music. He is best known for his work on the short films, Champion, directed by Ryan Beggs, Split Filter, directed by Samantha Baptiste and The Extraordinary Negro, directed by Tatianna Sims. Dallin is a friend to all and cherishes working with motivated and passionate teams.

  • Rebecca Nisco

    Rebecca is an internationally-produced composer for film, theater, and concert works. Her music has been performed, recorded and workshopped at venues such as London’s Air-Edel Studios and The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage and with ensembles such as the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, where her Ave Maria was awarded the Singer’s Choice Award, and with members of the Prague Orchestra as part of the NYU Film Scoring Workshop. As Music Supervisor, she has most enjoyed having the opportunity to connect with incredible musicians in licensing their music for Throuple and looks forward to continuing to work with such a stellar production team. With a love of connecting and collaborating with artists of all kinds, she co-created the podcast (im)perfect along with her lifelong friend and collaborator, Kara Bartek. She is a member of ASCAP and the Alliance for Women Film Composers and holds an MMus in Composition for Screen awarded with Distinction from Royal College of Music in London.
